Flood Announces $1 Million for Frutchey Hill Road Project

HARRISBURG – Rep. Ann Flood (R-Northampton) is pleased to announce that Forks Township will receive $1 million in state funding for Phase II of the Frutchey Hill Road Repair Project. The grant, awarded through the Multimodal Transportation Fund, will support critical improvements to the roadway, enhancing safety and accessibility for local residents.
“This grant will help ensure that Frutchey Hill Road remains safe and reliable for everyone who uses it,” said Flood. “By improving our infrastructure, we’re not only enhancing daily commutes, but also supporting local businesses and enabling quicker responses for emergency services. These improvements will have a lasting positive impact on the 138th District.”
Phase II of the Frutchey Hill Road Repair Project will build on previous improvements, helping to create a safer and more efficient roadway in Forks Township.
The Multimodal Transportation Fund provides grants to encourage economic development and ensure that a safe and reliable system of transportation is available to the residents of the commonwealth.
Funds may be used for the development, rehabilitation and enhancement of transportation assets to existing communities, streetscape, lighting, sidewalk enhancement, pedestrian safety, connectivity of transportation assets and transit-oriented development.
