Assistance Available for Senior Farmers Market Program
I invite 138th District seniors to join me for an informational event on Monday, July 20, from 9 to 11 a.m. at my district office in Pen Argyl, 962 Pennsylvania Ave., where representatives from Northampton County Aging will assist residents with applications for the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program and distribute coupons.
Staff will be available to help complete applications, answer questions and guide attendees through the process.
To be eligible, seniors must be age 60 or older and meet income requirements. Income includes all sources such as Social Security, wages and interest. Seniors living in nursing homes or facilities where meals are provided are not eligible.
Income limits for 2026 are:
• $29,526 for a one-person household
• $40,034 for a two-person household
• $50,542 for a three-person household
• $61,050 for a four-person household
Attendees must bring a valid photo ID showing their current address.

Small Business Development Seminar on Aug. 6
Join me for a Small Business Development & Financing Seminar on Thursday, Aug. 6, from 6-8 p.m. at the Liberty Fire Company Social Hall, 67 N. Eighth St., Bangor.
This free seminar is hosted in partnership with the Small Business Development Center at Lehigh University and the Rising Tide Fund and is designed to support both aspiring and current business owners.
Attendees will hear from Darryl Wentz of Lehigh University’s Small Business Development Center and Joseph Kornfeind of the Rising Tide Community Loan Fund, who will share guidance on motivation for starting a business, understanding risk and reward, key personal questions to ask before launching and the essential building blocks for success.
Whether you are just starting out or looking to grow, this event will provide valuable insights and resources to help you move forward with confidence.
